WHAT HAPPENED ON AUGUST 2, 2025?

Wyatt's ohana (mom, dad, & two favorite uncles) were camping at the Poli Poli cabin on Maui.

On August 2nd, Cody Torres (age 39 of Kihei), his child "little Torres", and his foreign girlfriend joined the camping trip.

Wyatt's parents, two favorite uncles, and the foreign girlfriend were playing cornhole in the backyard. Wyatt (age 2) was playing with "little Torres" (age 4) inside the cabin; being supervised by Cody Torres. Wyatt's parents could see both kids playing on the top bunk bed inside the cabin (through the bedroom window, from the backyard). Wyatt's mother could touch his hand through the screen window; that is how close proximity they were.

No more than 10 minutes later, "little Torres" came outside. Wyatt's mother asked "where is Wyatt?"

"Little Torres" smirked & laughed. This alarmed Wyatt's mom so she went into the cabin, found Cody Torres alone in the bedroom with the door closed.

She asked him "where is Wyatt?" Torres did NOT respond.

Wyatt's mom noticed "little Torres" eyes look in the direction of where Wyatt was.

Mom found Wyatt outside, unresponsive, laying on his stomach on top of one cooler, arms out to the side, with his head hanging inside a second smaller cooler. A cooler small enough that Wyatt's head AND shoulders could NOT fit inside. Only his head was hanging inside this cooler, NOT submerged in the 2" of water that was at the bottom of this small cooler. All the drinks had been pulled out and dumped surrounding the cooler.

Wyatt's mom screamed for her husband.

They call 911 and immediately start giving Wyatt CPR.

Five minutes into CPR, they hear a truck start.

Cody Torres took his child and his foreign girlfriend, jumped in his truck and fled the scene. He left all their belongings: his cooler, his soon to be deported girlfriends purse and cell phone, and his childs clothes. He left everything, took his child and ran!

Clock this in your brain: Cody Torres is a Journeyman Lineman. Lineman are required to be CPR certified in Hawaii. Based on industry standards & safety regulations, CPR certification is a mandatory requirement for electrical utility lineman. CPR certification is necessary because linemen work in high-risk environments, and must be able to provide CPR WITHIN 4 MINUTES if an electrical accident occurs.

Cody Torres, who is required to know CPR for his job, does NOT help the family perform CPR on Wyatt.  Dad, Uncle J, & Uncle B are rotating, taking turns holding Wyatt's head, giving him CPR for 20 minutes until the helicopter arrived (to take Wyatt to Maui Memorial). A second helicopter arrived to transport mom and dad to Maui Memorial ASAP, leaving Uncle J & Uncle B at the scene with MPD.

The Maui Police Department did NOT appropriately handle evidence. They treated Wyatt's death as an accident even though the medical examiner told Detective Gregg Katayama (on August 4, 2025) that Wyatt's death was very suspicious & needed to be investigated as a homicide. It seems Wyatt was staged to look like he drowned in a cooler; the medical examiner confirmed there was NO WATER in Wyatt's lungs or stomach.

(At a later date), Cody Torres writes in an Instagram message "I f%ck!ng tried. Wasn't long but I tried to suck the water out of his lungs and I'll never forget how it tasted." Explain how a Journeyman Lineman who is required to know CPR doesn't know that YOU DO NOT SUCK when giving CPR. You blow. And when was he supposedly sucking water out of Wyatt's lungs? Because Wyatt's mom found Cody Torres alone in the bedroom with the door closed before she found Wyatt unresponsive, on his stomach. Did Cody Torres give Wyatt CPR? Without yelling for help? Without yelling for someone to call 911? Did Cody Torres give Wyatt CPR on his back? And then roll him over ONTO HIS STOMACH (the position mom found him)? Did Cody Torres negligently delay aid?

Cody Torres wasted no time in hiring a lawyer, refuses to take a polygraph test,

and won't allow his child to be interviewed by a professional forensic investigator.

Cody Torres and "little Torres" are the last two people to have been with Wyatt in the last five minutes of his life. They are the only two people NOT talking. Leaving the autopsy report as "undetermined."

Asking for "little Torres" to be interviewed is the ONLY thing Wyatt's parents have asked of Cody Torres and his baby mama, Alison Ferrari (note: she was NOT on the camping trip). Having "little Torres" interviewed could be ALL IT TAKES to help the grieving family understand what happened to their two-year-old son. Alison Ferrari scheduled her child to be interviewed by a professional forensic investigator. Twice. And Cancelled BOTH TIMES.

Wyatt's ohana WANT ANSWERS. Answers for closure & to help prevent this tragedy from happening to another child.

They want accountability & justice for their baby boy, who's life was taken too soon.
