Today we gather with hearts both broken & full.

Broken, because our sweet Wyatt was only two, & we dreamed of so many days we would share with him.

Full, because in his short time, he filled our lives with more love & light than words can hold.

Wyatt's laughter was a song, his smile a sunrise.

Though his hands were small, they held our hearts completely.

We cannot understand why he had to leave so soon,

but we know this: his spirit is not gone.

It is in the wind that brushes our faces, in the warmth of the sun on our shoulders, in the quiet places where love waits.

Though he could not stay long, he was loved enough for a lifetime.

And that love will never end.

So today we do not say goodbye-- we say, thank you, Wyatt.

Thank you for being ours.

Forever our little boy, forever our light, forever our Wyatt.
